Walking in the Light of Your Face

March 11, 2014

Lent Day 7 Wednesday, March 12

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted. For you are the glory of their strength; by your favor our horn is exalted. For our shield belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 89:14-18

He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Blessed are those who worship (know the festal shout) and walk in the light of the face of God and who exult in His name.

O Worship the King
Lyrics: Robert Grant Music: J M Hayden

O worship the King, all glorious above,
O gratefully sing God's power and God's love;
our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendor, and girded with praise.

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
in thee do we trust, nor find thee to fail;
thy mercies how tender, how firm to the end,
our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend.

Ponder: Imagine the light in the face of God. Imagine the day when we will walk into His Presence and worship Him.

Praise: You are the glory of my strength. I walk in the light of your face.
